Overall, art can be a powerful tool for individuals living with dementia and their care partners. While more research is needed to fully understand
the effects of art on the brain, the benefits of artistic involvement are clear. Whether it's through creating art or enjoying it, art can
provide a sense of purpose, communication, and well-being for those living with dementia.
The art appreciation sessions are facilitated both face-to-face at art and cultural venues and online with individuals and small groups.

Story Sharing Moments
The Story Sharing Moment program offers a unique and enriching experience that can be hosted in a culturally vibrant venue, placing a special emphasis on fostering individual and community connections through engaging with meaningful objects. During each session, participants will delve into the current exhibition, immersing themselves in the exploration of three to four carefully selected artworks. This interactive experience goes beyond mere observation, allowing participants to intimately handle and engage with the artworks and museum objects, creating a tactile and immersive encounter.
As the session concludes, the group will come together over a shared morning tea. This provides a valuable opportunity for participants to connect, share their thoughts, and engage in meaningful conversations. The communal aspect of the morning tea is designed not only to enhance the overall experience but also to nurture and strengthen friendships, fostering a sense of community connection that extends beyond the artistic exploration. This program, through its unique blend of art appreciation and communal interaction, seeks to create a space where individuals can build lasting connections and contribute to a sense of belonging within the community.

Flow Project
The Flow Project, a community initiative aimed at bringing joy and connection to the flood-affected communities of Manning Point, Mitchell Island, and surrounding areas, has been successfully completed.
