Story Sharing Moments

The Story Sharing Moment program offers a unique and enriching experience that can be hosted in a culturally vibrant venue, placing a special emphasis on fostering individual and community connections through engaging with meaningful objects. During each session, participants will delve into the current exhibition, immersing themselves in the exploration of three to four carefully selected artworks. This interactive experience goes beyond mere observation, allowing participants to intimately handle and engage with the artworks and museum objects, creating a tactile and immersive encounter.

As the session concludes, the group will come together over a shared morning tea. This provides a valuable opportunity for participants to connect, share their thoughts, and engage in meaningful conversations. The communal aspect of the morning tea is designed not only to enhance the overall experience but also to nurture and strengthen friendships, fostering a sense of community connection that extends beyond the artistic exploration. This program, through its unique blend of art appreciation and communal interaction, seeks to create a space where individuals can build lasting connections and contribute to a sense of belonging within the community.

Flow Project

The Flow Project, a community initiative aimed at bringing joy and connection to the flood-affected communities of Manning Point, Mitchell Island, and surrounding areas, has been successfully completed. During this project, participants had the opportunity to engage in Free Community Lantern Making Workshops, unleashing their creativity to craft unique lanterns. The highlight of the Flow Project was the Lantern Parade, a magical procession of these handmade lanterns symbolizing hope and resilience. Following the parade, the community enjoyed the screening of the award-winning film 'Up Armidale Road,' providing a shared cinematic experience for all. The uplifting day concluded with a soulful musical performance by Grace & Hugh and Band, offering a heartwarming finale to the Flow Project. This successful initiative brought together neighbors for a day of creativity, film, music, and community spirit.
